Hey, Everyone!
Guess what we did this week?? A.....photoshoot!
Photoshoots are so so fun and I just loved doing this one! We chose Grace to be our "subject" and decided our theme to be "Warrior Princess".
I had seen these really cool medieval hairstyles on YouTube and wanted to try to do something similar with Grace's fair tresses!
It ended up much different from what I'd envisioned, but I was still satisfied!
Grace's dress inspiration was taken from last year's fashion runway in Paris.....no, just kidding! :) We went through our dress up clothes (yes, we have dress up clothes) and with safety pins being our best friend, created a "new" dress for dear Grace to "grace" our presence out on the moors, oh, I mean in the backyard. The "gown" wasn't perfect and probrobly not in the least authentic, but hey - it worked!
For props, Grace and I raided dear Papa's outbuildings for historic looking weapons! :) :) (It's handy having a hunter for a father). We were successful and therefore collected ourselves and the camera and headed out!! (Not mentioning the momentary interruption of our parents returning from their Costco run and us helping unload the delicious looking groceries before we returned to the mission at hand).
Okay, so where are these photos already, you're probrobly asking?? Alright, Alright! I am so excited to say that to display the photos for this post I made a slideshow video for the very first time! Eeeekk! So so exciting! You have no idea how thrilling it is for me!
Alright, without further ado......our photoshoot video! We hope you enjoy it!
Well, that was fun! Have any of you ever done a photoshoot? Were you the subject or the photographer?
We think we'll plan another shoot for the future, so keep an eye out! :) Any suggestions as far as a theme?? Speak now, or forever hold your peace! :)
Talk to ya'll later! Hope you enjoy your weekend!
That last photo should be Grace's profile picture, LOL. It's stunning!
ReplyDeleteI have been the subject of a photoshoot - a Native American one! My grandmother wanted to make a powerpoint about Native dress regalia. Great to channel the 3% Mohawk blood that I'm proud to have!
Thank you, Catherine!!
DeleteI love the pictures! I also like all the costumes! Maybe you could try doing an Anne of Green Gables photoshoot? That might be cool.
ReplyDeleteWe did do an Anne of Green Gables one back a bit, but we weren't really happy with how it turned out! We should re-do it!!! Great idea!!
DeleteThis is so neat! I think I've done two photoshoots before, and it's so fun. I like the dress that you assembled! Looking forward to seeing the pictures from your next one!
ReplyDeleteThank you!! Did you have a specific theme for your shoots? Yes, we are already plotting our theme/costume for the next one!!
