Greetings dear folk of the Internet,
Who else is excited for Fall? I absolutely adore this time of year. I think it would be perfect to be married in the Fall with an apple cider toast! Katherine and I love the plethora of scarlet and gold leaves which Fall bequeaths to us. And honestly, what could you have against the season that includes Thanksgiving? We thought for this post, we'd share some of our favorite Fall-ish things with you.....now I feel a parody of "My Favorite Things" coming on....
Favorite Fall Activity
Grace- Walking through the leaves and hearing the loud scuffing... also being able to walk in the woods and dry stream bed without regarding every stick or movement as a snake threat! Never mind the ticks and chiggers!
Katherine- Enjoying the cool weather; what could be better than crunching through the leaves while 'drinking in' the cool, fresh, delicious air that Fall brings?

Favorite Fall Food
Grace- I love soup, especially Chicken Soup and my mother's Corn Potato Chowder! It is delicious!
Katherine- Pumpkin Pie Squares- Happiness served to you on a buttery, sugar crust....ahhhhh!

Favorite Pie
Grace- Apple or Cherry... or pumpkin; I can't decide!

Favorite Fall Beverage
Grace- Apple Cider, or is eggnog available yet? I hope to try to make our own this year which should be... fun!

Grace- Scarlet! DEEP RED!!!!!!!! Such vibrance!

Favorite Article of Insulation: Cardigans or Pullover Sweaters?
Grace- Pullovers... so snugly!

Favorite Fall Hobby
Grace- Making wreaths from Sweet Annie ( an herb from the Artemesia Family) and drinking in the delicious fragrance they exude.
Katherine- Crocheting. Right now, I'm working on my first hat!
Fall Scent
Grace- I love the smell of walnuts, which is good since we are surrounded by walnut trees! We should have named our house "Walnut Manor" instead of "Green Gables"... (Katherine: No we shouldn't of!)
Katherine- I love the smell of wood smoke. Happily, we heat with wood using an outdoor wood stove, which gives off plenty of smoky breezes.
