  1. Every time you guys said Sir Andrew's name I would imagine Sir Andrew Aguecheek from Twelfth Night and had to tell myself "Wrong story!" XD

  2. Oh, wow, that's funny! I've never read that play - what's it about?

    1. It's about a girl, Viola, who after being shipwrecked dresses up like her twin brother and goes to work for a duke. It has disguises, mistaken identity, people falling in love, and people tricking each other. It's very funny and one of my favorite Shakespeare comedies! Sir Andrew along with the characters Sir Toby, Maria, and Fest are troublemakers. You two should give it a try sometime.

  3. Hi!!!

Oh my goodness, so many disappointing things happened in the last month that just threw me completely off any real motivation to do much. I'm so sorry that I didn't keep up with your videos and I shall do better henceforth.

I loved this set of chapters, and I agree, Marguerite is very saucy, that was the word I lighted on while you were discussing her mild mockery regarding her husband. You know, it's funny, but I realized that at this point we actually think Marguerite could be worthy of dislike and scorn from the Comtesse de Tournay. We don't know her at all, and our first real introduction to Marguerite is a negative one before she even arrives as a character. Just as, like you said, we don't know who the Scarlet Pimpernel is yet.

Baroness Orczy did a terrific job not giving anything away in her novel; I'd forgotten that about her writing style and am deeply impressed by it.

Anyway, I love your narration and I love the little Persian slipper you both crocheted and thought it was hilarious how the pattern went slightly awry. I'll take photos of my knitted shawl once I finish it and upload it to my blog and let you both know it's there. I love the results so far; it's turning out beautifully and I'm almost to the very last section, so about 80% done.

Keep up the good work! Your narration is delightful and I adore the meme Katherine created (so pretty)!

P.s. I was homeschooled too, all the way through high school. :)

And, I'd never seen that Hallmark movie! But it sounds interesting and I love that you remembered the name Tolliver and I love that it has Matthew Modine in it. I'm quite partial to him.

    1. Yay!! Your back, lol!! Yes, I agree, we are pre-disposed not to like Marguerite even though we've never met her and yes, the writing style is just *chefs kiss* superb!

I look forward to seeing your shawl. I am not ambitious enough attempt anything more than a scarf or blanket so more power to you!!

      Yay, another Homeschooler!!

Thanks so much for your comment it really means alot! I hope you continue to enjoy the book!

    2. Yep, I'm back! It was a bit of a crazy month, but things are settling now. :)

I'll make sure to let you know when I've posted pictures of my finished shawl. I would love to have it done by the end of November. We'll see if that happens.

Keep up the good work! I love listening to you both; it's so entertaining hearing you interact as well as narrate. I can relate to you being sisters since I'm best friends with my younger sister; we even share an apartment, which is awesome. :)

    3. Yes, I can't wait to see it! That's so cool you and your sister share an apartment! Grace and I joke that we'l get houses right next door to each other -well, I should say I joke - I think Grace would value a little more space between! :)
I'm so glad you are liking the videos - it's nice to hear that, to quote Lina Lemont from Singing in the Rain, 'All our hard work ain't been for nothing'...hee hee, I couldn't resist! :)

  4. Carissa!! You just warmed our hearts with your long comment! (dances for joy) So glad to have you back; life just does get busy, doesn't it?
Yes, saucy is a great word to describe Marguerite's attitude. Yes, that's true - you don't quite know if Marguerite is innocent of any charge the Comtesse may lay at her feet. I really like how us readers are discovering both her and Percy's true characters as the book progresses. That's one of the best things about good storytelling - the mystery is getting more and more thinly veiled.
Oh, I'm so glad you are enjoying our narration - we realize they are far from professional. :) Yes, the Persian Slipper incident was quite funny - I actually have it sitting on a little shelf above my dresser! Oh, yes do tell when you have pictures of your shawl - I'd love to see it! Congratulations on your 80% of "knit-ation"!
Yay- another fellow homeschooler! Did you enjoy being homeschooled?
Yes - What the Deaf Man Heard is a really good one - you'l have to watch it sometime. I've never seen any other films with Mathew Modine in them - what are you partial to?
Thank you again so much for the encouragement, Carissa! So happy you commented! Talk soon!

    1. I did enjoy being homeschooled. It was a pretty good experience; we were mostly English and literature focused which is why I love reading so much. My sister was also homeschooled through high school. :)

Let's see, Matthew Modine was in a re-interpretation of Jack and the Beanstalk called Jack and the Beanstalk: The Real Story. It's EXCELLENT. I loved him in it. I also saw him as a villain in Stranger Things which I won't necessarily recommend, but he was very good. The he had a bit part in 47 Meters Down. Every time I see him he impresses me; I guess he's just one of those actors.

I'll make sure to let you know when I've posted pictures of my shawl! :)

I'm excited to see what lies in store for Percy and Marguerite in the next set of chapters. I plan on listing to more today while I work.

    2. Yes! Reading aloud books with my Mom and Grace was one of my favorite parts of homeschooling!
Wow, that's neat that Mathew Modine is so versatile in his acting skills - that's a good actor for you when you can love them as the hero and then turn around and hate them as the villian as they are so convincing in each role! :)
Yes, it is getting exciting for Percy and Marguerite! What awaits?...... :) I'm sure this weeks' reading will be quite riveting!
