January has flow by

Hello dear friends,

I apologize for our absence these past weeks, but life you know :)! Anywho, I thought I'd drop in and let you all in on what has been happening here at Green Gables.

First of all there was New Years, of course. We went to our friends house for their annual party and had such fun playing Bunco and participating in a White Elephant gift exchange! Some of the highlighting gifts were a can of outdated Pork Brains, a pair of cow print shoes, a sign stating :A hot flash is just a mini summer vacation you take all by yourself" and a GIANT pack of Resse cups!

Secondly, renovations and remodeling have taken over our sister Jane's house, Sunset Cottage, and Jane is over the moon about it all... well she's not still over the moon... she had to come back sometime! New flooring, paint, cabinets and counter tops have brightened the place into a variable paradise!  At least that's what Jane says, we have yet to go over and actually see it, but will next week for Family Game and Pizza Night! So while everything was being done over at the cottage, Jane and the four boys came over here four days out of the week, which was quite fun. I introduced her two oldest Mr. Roester and Mr. Munchkin to their mothers old (and rather beat up) dollhouse and they had so much fun with all the plastic furniture and Indian dolls!

Thirdly, we had a wedding at our Church! I love weddings! The couple had been betrothed since last November and last Sunday they had the wedding and it was soooooo beautiful!!!!! Katherine made a cake ( not THE cake) and it was soooo pretty. Pictures will follow in a future post by Katherine.

Oh and let's not forget that I turned 20!!!! That's a milestone!!!!

So all that to say we have had a busy month!

Other stuff that happened
The other night I began an embroidery project on an old jean skirt that so far is coming out okay... so far! It's supposed to look something like this...

Mamma, Katherine and I have begun to re-read Mara Daughter of the Nile and our friend returned our copy of "Hope Was Here" so evenings will find me re-reading it to Katherine and hopefully (if I can convince her) Mamma!
We had our first Family Pizza and Game Night that was a lot of fun. We played Balderdash, which if you've never played you HAVE TO!!!!!!! It is one of the funnest games ever, especially with a crowd.
I stopped drinking coffee this month, not for any really good reason, just we aren't buying Stevia anymore and I no longer like the taste of sugar, honey or maple syrup in my coffee. So I have been on a nearly steady diet of Earl Grey which has been delightful.... until last Sunday when my sister Jane offered me her last one of those Starbucks coffee drinks! Yes I have now had three cups of coffee and two of tea so who knows what this month will bring!

Well that's all for now, I would love to hear what you've all been up to and how your January went!
Blessings
Grace
